Chapter 4

Know Yourself:
I realized that I learn better when the teacher uses the topic of the day and relate it to a story. I prefer a funny story because somehow that helps me remember it more. I also learn more from visual stuff. I like it when teacher's uses graph, chart, or any other image that makes things simple for you to remember. I also like it when we do something like an activity or game as a group, after the lecture because it helps me get the topic more, and I can also ask other for helps if I don't get it. It's better getting help from a group, than from one person, because if you don't get it from one person, you can try asking another.

Your Journal:
I'm a visual aid type. My weakness is when the teacher is just teaching from the book and not making it entertaining. The thing about me is that, if you don't get me interested in the topic. Then I'll tend to daydream or space out about something else. & my weakness is also on taking notes. I can't really multitask, when the teacher is putting the notes on for a few minutes, I'll have to rush and take notes while trying to pay attention to him explaining them. I like it when teacher's have their notes on blackboard, so that I can listen to them in class, and review my notes later when I get home.

Chapter 9: Your Journal

I noticed that when people first start out their speech, they would get shy, and tend to move around a lot. Then a few minutes later, they'll more comfortable and speak louder and clear. Once they get more comfortable is when you noticed that there actually looking at the audience. My advice on giving a speech and prepare it before, do not wait till the last minute. It's because when you procrastinate, you don't feel prepare so you'll be nervous to go up. some people need something to hold or something to play with when there giving a speech, so my advice is to have those index card, you can have them to help you remember what to say, and it's something to hold so you can stop.

Chapter 9: Know Yourself

I don't seem to have any writing strengths. writing is one of my worst subjects, explains why I'm in LLD1, haha. I think i need to improve in a lot of things in writing, like my grammars and run on sentences. I also have a lot of fragment in my essays. Basically, i need to improve in a lot of things on my writing. & stop my cliche, when i write my essay.

Chapter 2 & 3

Chapter 2:
Know yourself-
I took the activity and score higer than 70, which means I"m under the good social connection and experience little loneliness. And that is true about me, I do not feel loneliness in life. I always have my friends to be there for me. Whenever I need someone to talk to, I'll just have to call them and they'll be there for me. And when I'm bored, I'll just call them and ask them if they'll want to go out or something.

Your Journal-
I dislike it when I'm in math class and i hear other people say " hey let's find an asian person to partner with for math, they're all nerds when it comes to math ". Number 1 it seems like you're just using them to get a good grade in the group activity. & number 2, if you're asian, it doesn't mean your good in math. Everyone is different, you shouldn't say that because of there race.


Chapter 3:
Know yourself-
I spent too much time on aim, I'm always chatting away or going out even thought I know I still have a lot of homework to do. And I spent too little time on studying, which is bad because when I take my quizes, I get low scores. So, next week I will spent more time studying, and then go out once I'm done.

Your Journals-
I'm always procrastinating when it comes to school stuff. I can never just sit at home in my room and start studying or doing my homework. I always get distracted by things. So I decided that I should start going to MLK to do my work, since it's quiet there so I wouldn't get distracted so easily. And I shouldn't go on aim or on the phone until I get the work done.

Mime Activity

Today, we played a mine game in class. Kathy was my partner. She was the mime, so she started first, and I was the mirror so I had to reflect what she did, but I couldn't help but laugh. Then it was my turn and I started to do all these random hand movements very fast to confuse her,haha. After that Kathy had tell me a story using movements. I had to guess out what she was doing, it was pretty fun and interesting, because now I know that there are other ways to communicate without talking to each other.
